Recognized global company dedicated to the production and distribution of a wide range of products in the food industry, with brands ranging from chocolates and cookies to chewing gum and salty snacks, being a leader in the food and pleasure industry.
The challenge
At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the customer had placed an order for a large batch of sanitary masks from Turkey in order to resume operations. However, these were stolen at the border. At that moment, they relied on our procurement expertise and asked us to source 1 million masks in an extremely tight timeframe.
The solution
Strategic and rapid sourcing and the use of our industry expertise allowed us to gain a tactical advantage over competitors and quick access to scarce healthcare materials.
Results
Distribution of 1 million masks to the customer within 3 days, successfully meeting our customer’s requirements. In addition, the client established a preferential relationship with selected healthcare suppliers, resulting in a more resilient and dynamic supply chain for the client in the food industry.
